Uses

Celecoxib is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile arthritis, menstrual pain, or pain.

Active Ingredients: celecoxib
Inactive Ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, edible inks, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone and sodium lauryl sulfate.

Dosage and Forms

Celecoxib is available in form of capsules.
Take Celecoxib capsules by mouth with full glass of water as schedulled by your doctor. Do not crush, crew or chew capsules. Celecoxib may be taken with food if it upsets the stomach. It’s recommended not to lie down for 30 minutes after taking dose of Celecoxib.
Symptoms of Celecoxib overdosage may be the following: decreased urination, loss of consciousness, seizures, dizziness or drowsiness, nausea or stomach pain, slow or troubled breathing, unusual bleeding or bruising, vomiting. If any of these symptoms appeare, contact your doctor or emergency room.

Contraindications and Precautions

Celecoxib should not be taken by those who have a history of kidney or liver disease, diabetes, or stomach or bowel problems, a history of swelling or fluid buildup, asthma, growths in the nose (nasal polyps), or mouth inflammation; a high fever, rash, high blood pressure, blood disorders, bleeding or clotting problems, heart problems, or blood vessel disease, pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Side Effects

Celecoxib may cause the following side effects: constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, gas, headache, heartburn, nausea, sore throat, stomach upset, stomach pain or nausea, stuffy nose, ringing in the ears; seizures.

Interactions

Celecoxib should not be taken along with the following medicines: anticoagulants, aspirin, corticosteroids, heparin, or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), fluconazole or probenecid, cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, quinolones, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or diuretics.
