Uses

Ciprofloxacin is used to treat or prevent different bacterial infections

Active Ingredients: Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride
Inactive Ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, talc, titanium dioxide and triacetin.

Dosage and Forms

Ciprofloxacin can be found as tablets, ointments, sollutions or injections. We offer Ciprofloxacin in tablets. Take each dose as schedulled by your doctor. Take tablets with meals but do not split, crush or crew the tablets. Ointment is for opthalmic use only, instill prescribed ribbon in affected eyes. If you’re using other topical ophthalmic drugs, separate each medication by at least 5 min. Do not take or use more medicine then it’s prescribed. If the overdose is suspected, contact your doctor or emergency room immediately.

Contraindications and Precautions

Ciprofloxacin should not be taken by persons who have heart problems or a history of irregular heartbeat, low blood potassium levels, Alzheimer disease, a brain or nervous system disorder, a problem with the blood vessels in the brain, diarrhea, a stomach infection, liver problems, kidney problems, increased pressure in your brain, seizures, inflammation of your tendons, joint problems, or skin sensitivity to the sun; pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Side Effects

Ciprofloxacin may cause the following side effects: seizure; confusion, hallucinations, depression, nausea, stomach pain, low fever, lost appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, diarrhea that is watery or bloody;chest pain, pounding or fast heartbeats, blurred vision; sleep problems (insomnia); increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight.

Interactions

Ciprofloxacin may interact with the following: Antiarrhythmics, Cisapride, Droperidol, H1 antagonists, Haloperidol, Imidazole antifungals, Pimozide, serotonin receptor antagonist antiemetics, Macrolide or Ketolide antibiotics, Ziprasidone, Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), Anticoagulants, caffeine, cyclosporine, Methotrexate, Sulfonylureas, Tizanidine, Xanthines, Hydantoins, Corticosteroids, Probenecid.
