Contraindications and PrecautionsThe presence of the following medical problems may affect the use of Acetazolamide: liver, kidney, heart, lung disease, or a hormonal disease. Side EffectsCommon Acetazolamide side effects include the following: decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, weakness, nervousness or mild tremor, headache or confusion, increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight, worsening gout, loss of blood sugar control (in diabetic patients), ringing in ears, hearing problems, changes in the vision. InteractionsIf Acetazolamide is combined with one of the following medicines, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered: aspirin, salsalate, choline salicylate, magnesium salicylate, lithium, cyclosporine, primidone, diflunisal. |
