Uses

Levofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections that cause bronchitis, pneumonia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, skin infections, urinary tract infections, and other infections.

Active Ingredients: Levofloxacin
Inactive Ingredients: hypromellose, crospovidone, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, polysorbate 80 and synthetic red and yellow iron oxides.

Dosage and Forms

Levofloxacin can be found in form of oral solution, injection and pills. In our store Levofloxacin is available as film-coated tablets.
Take Levofloxacin pills by mouth with full glass of water or with food as schedulled by your doctor. Do not chew or cut pills, swallow them the whole.
Symptoms of Levofloxacin overdose may include the following: loss of balance or coordination, drooping eyelids, weakness, decreased activity, trouble breathing, sweating, tremors, convulsions or seizure. If the overdose is suspected contact your doctor or emergency room immediately.

Contraindications and Precautions

Levofloxacin should be avoided by patients, who have history of fast, slow, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, angina, or heart attack, other heart problems, liver problems, kidney problems, tendon problems, Alzheimer disease, increased pressure in the brain, nervous system problems, or a history of seizures. Besides, Levofloxacin can cause harm to patients under 18 years old, pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Side Effects

Levofloxacin may cause the following side effects: diarrhea, seizure, confusion, hallucinations, dizziness, fainting, easy bruising or bleeding, fast or pounding heartbeat, pale or yellowed skin, fever, sore throat, headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, dizziness, muscle pain, sleep problems, itching.

Interactions

Levofloxacin should be avoided to be taken along with the following: blood thinners, cyclosporine, insulin or other diabetes medication, theophylline, aspirin or other NSAIDs, heart rhythm medicine, duloxetine or other SNRIs, serotonin receptor antagonists, anticoagulants, antiarrhythmics.
