Uses

Amlodipine is used for treating hypertension and to treat angina.

Active Ingredients: Amlodipine besylate
Inactive Ingredients: Tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, sodium starch glycolate, and magnesium stearate.

Dosage and Forms

Amlodipine is available in form of tablets. Take each dose of Amlodipine as scheduled by your doctor, with a full glass of water or with food to minimize dizziness.
The Amlodipine overdose may become apparent by the following symptoms: dizziness; fainting or lightheadedness, especially upon standing; very fast heart rate. If the overdose took place, seek for emergency medical attention.

Contraindications and Precautions

The presence of the following medical problems may affect the use of Amlodipine: liver disease, disease of the heart or blood vessels, sick sinus syndrome, aortic stenosis, heart failure, low blood pressure, or coronary artery disease. Besides, Amlodipine is contraindicated to pregnant or breast-feeding women.
